The Students Solidarity Trust is a non-partisan student based organisation that was formed in 2002 to act as a service provider to the students movement primarily through cushioning politically victimised activists from the negative effects of such victimisations and through offering and promoting varied solidarity services to the students movement.

Arrested student leaders apllication turned down |
The four Student Leaders arrested for participating in a gathering with intent to promote public violence and breach of peace today appeared in court and had their application for refusal of further remand turned down.

The now infamous Bikita court case has finally been discharged. The freed leaders are Madock Chivasa ,Farirayi Mageza ,Simbai Chivasa, Hillary Zhou, C.Mhofu Tapiwa Mushati and Dickson Chemvumba.

Graduation cancelled-President to attend funeral |
In a move that has shocked the student community, the graduation ceremony at Bindura State University was cancelled because the Chancellor who is also the Head of State and Commander in Chief of the armed forces and also the first Secretary of ZANU-PF, President Robert Mugabe cancelled his appearance as he was billed to deliver a speech at the burial of Senator Chando who was declared a National Hero.

MSU student appears in court |
A student leader Obert Masaraure, who was arrested in March together with two others who were later acquitted after a demonstration that took place at Midlands State University appeared yet again before a Gweru Magistrate for trial.

Three University of Zimbabwe students today appeared before a Harare Magistrate. The students were charged in February under section 37 of the Criminal Codification Act (causing or participating in an act of public violence).
